IGCSE Non-English Languages

The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum offers a variety of non-English language subjects for learners with diverse abilities and backgrounds. 

Here are some of the non-English language options taught as standalone subjects in Indian schools:

Urdu as a Second Language (0539):

• Urdu is offered as a second language subject.

• Learners develop proficiency in  reading, writing, listening, and speaking Urdu.

• The syllabus covers essential language skills and cultural understanding.

Vietnamese - First Language (0695):

• Vietnamese is available as a first language subject.

• Learners study Vietnamese  literature, culture, and language.

• The syllabus includes  reading, writing, and speaking components.

Other Languages:

• Cambridge IGCSE offers a total  of 30 languages, allowing schools to choose from a wide range of options.

• Some other languages  include French, Spanish, German, Italian, Sanskrit, and more.
