IGCSE Social Studies
History, Geography
Let’s explore the Cambridge IGCSE subjects of History, Civics, and Geography:
Cambridge IGCSE History (0470):
Through the Cambridge IGCSE History syllabus, learners develop a ‘sense of place’ by looking at the world around them on a local, regional, and global scale.
They examine a range of natural and man-made environments and study processes that affected their development.
The syllabus covers core content, depth studies, and assessment components.
Cambridge IGCSE Civics (Not Offered):
Unfortunately, Civics is not specifically offered as a standalone subject in the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
However, learners can gain insights into civic concepts through other subjects like History, Geography, and Social Studies.
Cambridge IGCSE Geography (0460):
The Geography syllabus encourages learners to explore the world’s physical and human environments.
They develop an understanding of spatial patterns, interactions, and global challenges.
Topics include natural landscapes, population dynamics, economic activities, climate change, and sustainable development.
Learners analyze case studies and engage in fieldwork to enhance their geographical skills.
These subjects provide valuable insights into our world’s history and geography. If you need more detailed information or have any other questions, feel free to ask the C&G Academic Advisor!
